INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Module 200 Four-Part Process for Working with Latino Parents. This module is designed for Mental Health Professionals, graduate students and interns with Intermediate to advanced Spanish, working with children.
Therapists may have child clients who are English speaking, but the parents have limited English. In this module, mental health professionals will learn a model to conduct a basic assessment and counseling session, in Spanish with a parent. |
OBJECTIVES
1. Therapists will learn at least five STATEMENTS in Spanish to use with the parent of a child client in a consultation session
2. Therapists will learn at least five QUESTIONS in Spanish to use with the parent of a child client in a consultation session 3. Therapists will prepare RESPONSES to at least five parent questions. 4. Therapists will learn at least five ASSESSMENT ITEMS to use with a parent. |
